Pro Bono Champion: Bobbie Edmiston
Several LCYC attorneys previously worked with Bobbie in dependency cases when she was a public defender in King County. From those past experiences, we knew the quality of Bobbie’s work and her speed of her brain, and were thrilled to see her name on the list of available pro bono champions!
Bobbie has been willing to help with research memos with very short turnaround times, both on specific cases when novel issues arose where the attorney needed support to make a filing deadline, and on a draft policy memo for a work group establishing best practices on the use of pronouns, now known as names, and name changes for youth in dependency cases. Bobbie’s help has been invaluable to the attorneys as well as the youth we represent. We are so grateful for her support!
