Katie Heldt, Legal Assistant

Katie Heldt grew up in Eugene, Oregon. She studied at the University of Oregon and the Universidad de Sevilla for her undergraduate education and moved to Cusco, Peru to serve as an academic advisor, work with young mothers, and teach dance. She moved back to the Pacific Northwest in 2019 and began working in immigration law, which sparked her passion for legal advocacy. She is a rising 2L at Seattle University School of Law and interned at LCYC during Summer 2024. Katie hopes to become an attorney so that she can support those who are interacting with the legal system and make it more accessible to everyone, regardless of their background. Katie spends her spare time running in the forest with her beloved border collie, Naya, teaching dance, climbing, backpacking, and riding bikes.
